Building codes and usable capacity

These are retail entries in the community Buildings table. An office with a similar code can have a different capacity. A1 and A2 share an area but do not share the same blueprint: match the full code, not just square metres.
Choose a location in this order
- Check local demand in Market Insider before choosing the neighborhood.
- Inspect the building’s business type, capacity and parking. Compare fixed traffic with the marketing budget you can sustain.
- Locate suppliers and check the route before paying for a layout. The Buildings reference lists Kingdom Office for offices, Kristian Bahood for retail and Stonegood Architecture for warehouses and factories.
- Budget furnishing and initial stock separately. A furnished shop still needs products and operating cash.
Neighborhood lists are not fully synchronized
The older Neighborhoods wiki page lists five areas: Garment District, Hell’s Kitchen, Murray Hill, Midtown and Lower Manhattan. The newer building directory also includes Industry City and the Hamptons. Use that directory to look up addresses, but verify availability in your save rather than treating the old five-area list as complete.
